Pirate Pop
- Description
Pirate Pop is a casual bubble-popping game published by Google, built with developer Daniel Benitez of Zriller Studio. WOBL Creative designed the characters and environments: rounded pirate silhouettes that read clearly at small sizes, a bright translucent underwater palette that keeps bubbles visible, and simple reaction animations tied to each pop.

Project brief
01 What Pirate Pop needed
Pirate Pop, a collaboration with Daniel Benitez for Google, is set in an underwater world where players pop bubbles and complete levels. The brief asked for character and environment art that could carry a light, casual tone without competing with the bubble-popping core mechanic.
02 How the studio approached it
WOBL designed the pirate characters as small, rounded silhouettes that fit the casual game register. The underwater environment used a bright, translucent palette to keep the screen feeling open and playful.
03 What came out of it
Deliverables included character designs, environment art, and UI asset kit.
The project is featured at https://gamesnacks.com/games/piratepop and represents the studio's game art capability for Google-published casual titles.
